TRTRKMMR and some tracks taken from MySpace a few years ago. I found this on the blog Sorting Things Out With A Shotgun.

I know little about TRTRKMMR. They are from Milwaukee and have released a split cassette with Husere Grav and a split LP with Dead Times (whove made an appearance here at NBSF). The music is quickly becoming some of my favorite. Blackened Noise or Power Electronic Black Metal. It is so fuckin Noisey, and it's definitely blackened, and just viscerally one can hear Black Metal. If Black Metal isn't a look or a sound, but rather a feeling, then TRTRKMMR is most definitely Black Metal. What ever it is I fuckin love it!! They even rape a Bathory song on here.

Not that much really to say about this. 2 great bands splitting time on a cassette for their 09 US tour. PDX's Nerveskade does 4 songs, LA's Mundo Muerto does 3. It really doesn't get much Punker than this lil fucker gets.

SQUAT OR ROT 'Vol 2'

Ralphy Boy's, of Dissasociate by way of Jesus Chrust, label Squat Or Rot did 3 different 7" comps between 1989 and 1991 that all were accompanied by a zine, and released a few e.p.s by bands like Suicidal Supermarket Trolleys, some Jesus Chrust splits and a few more.

Of all the Squat Or Rot comps, this one, vol 2 is by far my favorite. It features 5 NY bands, Insurgence, Malachi Krunch, Jesus Chrust, Yuppicide, and The Apostates all doing a song a piece.

The gem on here is the Insurgence song. Some said Insurgence was the poor-mans Nausea, but though the sound is similar, I disagree. Insurgence featured Alicia Morgan of the Crusty Doom band 13 and later Electric Wizard. Insurgence played for a few years between 89 and 91 (roughly). Unfortunately, they didn't put anything out and I think this is the only recorded song by them. It also happens to be one of my all-time favorite Crust songs ever!!!!

Malachi Krunch is gruff Hardcore that featured Jim Martin who went on to sing in the underrated NY band BROKEN (who are presently alive and kicking). He also was the roadie for Nausea's Euro tour.

Jesus Chrust, again, was my boy RalphyBoy's band in the late 80's/early 90's that was a cross between DOOM (the band) and maybe early Grind. Second best song on here.

Scene stalwarts Yuppicide also didn't get the recognition they deserved. Kinda sing-a-longy, kinda AOD'ish, and had a sense of humour that ya didn't see that much for the time and place.

And finally, The Apostates, are kinda the odd-man-out here. It features a friend of mine, Mark Sinnis, singing. They play a kind of dreary, post-punk sound. I asked him once how The Apostates ended up on here and if they were in this scene. He said he wasn't (really) a part of the scene (as they lived in Long Island). He now does solo stuff playing 'Cemetary & Western', a goth/country hybrid.

Also, this is my the first record I made into an MP3 with my new software. So, I'm hoping the volume is ok. It is for me at least. So, go fuck yourself.

Nature And Organisation 'Beauty Reaps The Blood Of Solitude'

Michael Cashmore's Nature and Organisation and their 1994 LP 'Beauty Reaps The Blood Of Solitude'. Michael Cashmore was one of three regulars in Current 93. He also lent his talents to Douglas P, Nick Cave, Marc Almond and more. Nature and Organisation, besides being a conduit for the brilliant Michael Cashmore, also showcases the skills of Douglas P (DI6), Rose McDowell (Strawberry Switchblade), David Tibet (Current 93) and Steven Stapleton (Current 93) making it somewhat of a supergroup.

The music is neo-folk, but it's not just your average neo-folk, this Lp is absolute genius. It's dark and apocalyptic, yet optimistic. It's ugly and menacing, yet beautiful. This is definitely in my top 5 best neo-folk LPs, close to the top. Pure genius.

A//SOLUTION 'Butterfly Demo'

Since MegaUpload shut down & since MediaFire might go next & cause I just got my Cassette USB thing to work again, I'm gonna just start posting all my favorites, all my rare gems, etc etc.

And nothing is more of a gem or more rare than this. LBC's A//SOLUTION and their 1988 'Butterfly' Demo. And no, this is not the same thing as the Butterfly e.p., though I do feel the songs from that e.p. came from the Butterfly Demo sessions (could be wrong though). 6 songs, 3 songs not on their e.p. or their CD, and 3 songs from the e.p.

So, A//SOLUTION...One of my all time favorite bands (the e.p. was my very first post!). This band, along with the mighty Apocalypse, Glycine Max, and Confrontation, spearheaded the late 80's/early 90's SoCal Crust scene. I moved out to California in the early 90's, so I got to see the tailend of this scene. Fuckin brutal. A//SOLUTION were the crustiest bastards you would ever see. They had 3 singers (one of which, Nedwob, committed suicide in 94 {I think it was 94}), a guitarist, bassist & drummer. The crust they played, I feel, was/is the crustiest music ever made in the U.S.. Passionate, Bass-heavy, 3 fuckin singers (all at different pitches., is that the right word?) and a guitarist that just slayed. They defined the SoCAl Chuuga-Chugga-Wail sound. Really, I'm such a huge fan of these bands, and A//SOLUTION tops the list for me. I can't do this justice. It's a 10 out of 10. In fact, if I recall right, some of the band members went to England and befriended the HellBastard guys, and ya can hear the influence for sure (the RipperCrust-era HellBastard).

Once again, this very well might be the crown jewel of my collection. This thing will be D/L'ed to death. I also have the LOVE Demo that I'll post soon.

And to flog a dead horse, if ya want to start a Crust Punk band, this is your blueprint. Cause like I've said a million times in the past, I feel the term Crust is used erroneously these days, I also feel that there are maybe 5, 6 Crust bands even playing these days. That point is moot, I dunno, but I do know this- A//SOLUTION flys the crust flag high (and it stinks!).

1984 cassette from Fartblossom Enterprizes. A big file that I split up per side, Side A & Side B. All American Hardcore bands. This comps an onslaught of Reagan-era angst. The real standouts are, for Side A, CIA, No Mercy, and Impact Unit and Side B is Septic Death, Nardcore band Stalag 13, NOTA, and Real Enemy, which is a great and underrated early Pittsburgh hardcore band. Fartblossom put out a few more releases, most notably Pillsbury Hardcore, and also did an Empty Skulls Part Two.

Trörkrvisätänsrökrëh 'Khr'iirëëh Zÿsthlkonr Tsavlr Kélsäth Trörkrvisätäns'

This is cult! Trörkrvisätänsrökrëh is a French Black Metal act consisting of sole member Drudh Saalg. Trörkrvisätänsrökrëh sounds a bit like country mates LLN, but they are not a part of it. The similarities end at it being phonetically similar and Les Legion Noire are also French. Trörkrvisätänsrökrëh is part of a new circle of tyrants called Mouvement Independantiste Andernosien, along with the two bands Anderkrasu & Exhrpandra Ek (all three of the bands each have one demo out in ultra-rare numbers of 15). There isn't much info about this circle of bands on the net, but it seems their lyrics are more politically inclined. It seems they (all 3 bands) are all in objection to the administration to the town they are from, Andernos, France.

Musically Trörkrvisätänsrökrëh is otherworldly. It does resemble some of the LLN bands, but some of the more odd bands, not the heavies like Vlad Tepes or Mutiilation (though there is a Mutiilation cover on here!). It's the most evil sounding stuff I've heard in a long time. Ritualistic. Beastly. Demonic. Macabre. The vocals are unearthly, they sound how I'd picture the demon Baal would sound when talking. The guitars have that same anti-style that Mayhem and early DarkThrone had where the chords they played didn't make sense, but the rest of the instruments do make sense, so all together it works. This is some demonic shit!! Thumbs up!!

EXORCIST 'Nightmare Theatre'

This is an odd one. Exorcist's lone LP, Nightmare Theatre from 1985. Exorcist was on Cobra Records, also home to Original Sin, PileDriver, Convict, and a Virgin Steele record or two. What's unique about Exorcist and most of the Cobra bands is that they are 'Metalploitation' bands, made up in-studio bands (all with alter-egos). Exorcist, Original Sin, and Convict were all 'joke' bands. This lone Exorcist LP was Virgin Steele making fun of the Speed Metal/Satanic-Evil bands of the mid-80's, but the thing is, it turned out awesome. Much better than any of the crap Virgin Steele did.

Convict is more traditional Metal and Original Sin is pretty good and pose as an all female band, but they are just Virgin Steele (dudes) with one of their sisters or girlfriends singing (can't remember which).

But of all the Cobra Records bands, barring PileDriver (who may or may not be a joke band, not sure), Exorcist are my favorite. The joke got turned on themselves cause this shit kills (especially for 1985).

Current 93 present Sveinbjorn Beinteinsson 'Edda'

The ever-imaginative Current 93 put out a few different albums as Current 93 presents... They did one with Aleister Crowley, Tiny Tim, Aryan Aquarians, and a few more. This one on Sveinbjorn Beinteinsson, I think, is the most unique.

Sveinbjorn Beinteinsson is an icelandic priest, a goði, of the Fellowship of the AEsir Faith, the Ásatrúarfélagið , which he founded in 1972. He was paramount in getting Iceland to recognize Asatru. The contents of this LP are three 'songs' from the poetic Edda in 75 stanzas, in which he recites them in his rimur. Plus he performs his own rimur which is under 'Poems:'.

Beinteinsson can also be heard, posthumously I believe, on Burzums bootleg 'Ragnarok (a new beginning)' on the last track 'Havamal'. He can also be heard performing Asatru marriage rites for Genesis And Paula P-Orridge on Psychic-TV's LP 'Live in Reykjavik'.

Beinteinsson died in 1993.

Chaos Destroy/Nekromantiker 'split' e.p.

6 song split by these two vendors of noise. 3 by each band. Chaos Destroy goes for a bit of a new direction in their sound, but it's small. Conner over at NFTB says Chaos Destroy is America's best band. I'm inclined to agree (that they are one of America's best bands). Nekromantiker churn out three gruff and noisey numbers that bring to mind the Kyushu Gods of old, and brings something new to the plate at the same time. This is a perfect pairing!

SoCal's No Comment and their debut e.p. from 1989. This e.p., opposed to their later stuff (like the burly DownSided e.p.), is just straight up Hardcore opposed to PowerViolence. In fact, Common Senseless is almost the perfect SoCal Hardcore 7", ya can hear Institutionalized-era Suicidal if ya strain your ears enough. It's piss angry, fast, short and to the point. It pulls no punches. Gnarly, burly, venom-spitting Hardcore Punk.

FIRE+ICE 'Gilded By The Sun'

Fire + Ice is Ian Read's solo band after doing time in Sol Invictus, Current 93, & Death In June (mostly Sol Invictus though). This is basically showcasing his love for folk, runes, magic and other occult and esoteric studies. Gilded By The Sun, and Fire + Ice in general is either a love it or hate it album & band. I love it. Most of it at least. Some of the songs, the more traditional, I don't totally love, but songs such as Fire Above, Blood on the Snow & Gilded By The Snow are fantastic. The album is neo-folk through and through. One of the more influential LP's in the genre actually.

NBSF friend Ben (via NBSF friend James), both of ((PRMTV CCMLTN)) turned me on to his new project a while back. I meant to post this some time back cause I fuckin love it (I did put it on my best of 2012 list afterall)!

The 8 tunes here, that fly by in just under 8 minutes, are fuckin manic. They remind me of Nightstcik Justice's demo & 1rst e.p.. Negative F/X also comes to mind. It's dry, has a bit of humor, goes by in a frenzy and is fuckin Punk, plain & simple.

Members are also in Contagium as well as a gang of other bands. So I'll say it again, there must be something in the water up there in Halifax, cause these kids and their many bands are tearing it up! Keep it up guys!!!!

ADS CITY-X

ADS/CITY-X 'BZ Stottesingle'

Here it is folks. The ADS/CITY-X split e.p.from 1982. Both bands are from Denmark. This is a real treat as it's pretty rare stuff.

ADS is the band that Lost Tribe, Blue Cross, DeathCharge (new LP), Funeral Parade, and the rest of the bands of that ilk are trying, maybe even unknowingly, trying to emulate. It's one song, they have a few other songs that were played live, that was put on a live concert LP, that I've never seen, only heard (ya can hear it on you tube). So, ya know this song made an impact if it's ADS's only studio song.

CITY-X had a more prolific run. Besides this, they had 2 7"ers and an LP. There's 2 CITY-X songs on here. The first is a spunky, kinda sing-a-long UK82 meets Adam & The Ants, post-punk meets hardcore sound. The second song is a little more hardcore, still anthemic, still has that distinct Danish Punk sound. Both songs are fantastic, but again, it's ADS that's the real stand out.

The Soft Moon 'S/T'

So, I've dropped the ball as of late regarding Left Field Sundays, this is the first since xmas and only the second since December 4th, so I figured I'd put up something amazing.

The Soft Moon. San Francisco based Goth act and their self titled debut LP. The eleven songs within this LP timewarp one back to the 80's, when somber bands like Bauhaus, Chrome, Joy Division, Dead Can Dance & Dance Society ruled the nightclubs. Even the cover art quietly screams 1981 post-punk. Just a great LP.

Kamikaze Noise/Merciless Game 'Split' Cassette

First off, NBSF friend Allan brought to my attention that the Sick-Fuckin-O post was faulty, so anyone who D/L'ed, erase it. I'll re-post it next week.

To make up for it, here's Kamikaze Noise's split cassette with Merciless Game (and I think this MORE than makes up for my snafu!).

9 songs, 5 by Kamikaze Noise & 4 by Merciless Game including a Wretched cover.

Kamikaze Noise as a band, evidently, like this recording much more than their e.p.. It's also the same recording session that spawned the songs of the Downtown Noise Punker Vol 1 compilation. Also, this band eventually, more or less, became Lotus Fucker (the drummer & singers of KN plays in LF, the guitarist of KN played in LF for a while. The drummer also played guitar in Chaos Destroy)

Merciless Game -is Dan from Lotus Fucker's one-man band ,But Conner, my source for all things distorted, says Merciless Game is Zach's one man band of XBraniaX, so I'm inclined to believe Conner instead of the internet where I got my LotusFucker info. Total Gai-worship here. They have a demo out & a split with Rotozaza and an 8". (which I haven't heard, does anyone have this? the split I mean.).

This is a great split as both bands compliment each other so well. Distort!! Distort!!

MOON 'Blood' CD-r

Amazing one man Black Metal out of Brisbane, Australia. This is sole member Miasmyr's 2008 4 song e.p. entitled Blood. I absolutely love this release. It's haunting and majestic, but not sappy by any means. I feel it doesn't really take off until the second song, and the thrid is my favorite (and the fourth does cut off abruptly, so don't fret). People have labeled MOON 'Dark Occult Black Metal' and 'Mystical Black Metal' as Miasmyr 'descends into the occult' and is 'an unhinging and breaking down of the self to open the inner mind'.

So, if your looking for some top notch Black Metal and ya don't know of this band, look no further. This e.p. is a 10 out of 10. Raw at times, pained and tortured, and at other times beautiful and ethereal, though never straying from the tried and true Black Metal blueprints. Fantastic!

NABAT 'Scenderemo Nelle Strade'

1982 e.p. by this Italian Oi/Anarchist band. 5 songs of Italian Oi that has n early hardcore feel to it. This is on the other side of the Oi spectrum from bands like The Business or Blitz. Nabat was also one of the first Italian bands to champion the idea of Independent music. All in all a great little e.p. that didn't change the world of Italian Underground music or more importantly Oi, but good nonetheless! Chef-Oi-Ar-Dee indeed!

AIRRAID 'Armed Children' Demo 89

Japanese band AIRRAID and their 1989 demo "armed children'. They did two demos prior to this, but this is the one that kicks me in the face. Encyclopedia Metallum calls AIRRAID 'Speed/Thrash Metal', and I agree and I disagree. I think AIRRAID originally meant to play Speed Metal, but ended up with something completely different. I hear more Hardcore than Speed Metal, and I hear more Crust than Thrash. Kinda like if Beyond Description grew up on a steady diet of D.R.I. & Master instead of Outo and GAUZE. If Systematic Death and Destruction got into a love orgy with Dutch Hardcore, they'd spawn this ugly devil kid. But that still doesn't do this justice. Like I said, it even gets Crusty, the Chugga-Chugga-Choo-Choo Crusty, not the D-Beat that people call Crust. Whatever AIRRAID meant to do, however they wanted to sound, Armed Children is a fuckin bazooka of a demo, it's Hardcore, it's Crusty, it's 1989 Speed Metal and it kicks ya in the face!!!

OWL 'Demo'

Oakland, California's OWL is a 4 piece consisting of 3 brothers & a friend that channels 70's metal to a T. MRR reviewed this in their last issue and in it said their was a rumour that the lead guitarist was 13 years old when this demo was recorded! How bad ass is that?

OWL's music is Heavy Metal, no if's, and's or buts. No frills, no make up, no glitter. OWL is Heavy Metal. OWL is 1970's. OWL is a lid of dirt weed. OWL is a ten-strip of WindowPane. OWL is LEMON 714. OWL is rails, not bumps. OWL is Hippie Heavy Metal Murder Love. OWL is Occult. OWL is cult. OWL is HEAVY FUCKIN METAL!

APOX 'S/T'

I got a rare treat for ya guys today. This is some friends of mines band APOX from the late 90's, Webi & Jamie (R.I.P.), whom I have/had known both for roughly 20 years (Both Webi & Jamie were in a slew of other bands, mostly C-Squat bands ranging from Choking Victim, Planned Collapse, Kurixis, Old Skull and many more). Theirs also a guy from the European Squatter band 2000DS.

The music is very, very dark. Similar I suppose to ABC Diablo and Word as Law/Souls at Zero era Neurosis, but most definitely an entity unto themselves. Apocalyptic, ominous, self-sufficient crust. Hows that for a tag? 7 songs, most around the 5 minute mark. Really ya guys, I can't do this justice. Words have escaped. Awol. The name of the band couldn't be more apt, APOX! Do yourself a favor, avoid a hex, and get into it!

BATTLE CONFUSION 'As Human' Demo Cassette

This demo is a four song flame thrower! This shit spits venom and spews indignation! I don't know much about Battle Confusion other than that they are from Japan, they are on some of the Crust Night compilations & did a split with equally hellish Peaceful Collapse, here.

These four songs are crusty but more on the punk side than the metal side, but Crust itself is metal-ish. I get the same feeling that I got when I first heard HellBastard's monumental demo Rippercrust as I do when listening to this. It's really one of my favorite demo's I own & it is Punk as Fuck!!!!!!

SATAN 'Court In The Act'

NWOBHM act Satan and their 1983 release on Neat Records. Satan kinda blurred the lines a bit, meaning ya can def hear the NWOBHM sound but ya can also hear the beginnings of a Thrash sound (ala Destruction,Sodom, etc).

Satan has a bit of an incestuous history on the English Heavy Metal scene of the late 70's & early 80's. So, Angel Witch & Satan members went onto form Blind Fury which existed after Court in the Act, and lasted a year (with a demo and an LP). They then re-formed Satan around '85 or so. In 1988 Satan again morphed into something else and changed their name again, first to The Kindred, then later to Pariah (who did 3 LPs, the first one called The Kindred). After Pariah, some of the members went onto Skyclad. In 2000 & 2004 Satan reformed, sheesh, and recorded two live albums.

Crust War is re-releasing ZOUO's small catalog of music, their The Final Agony e.p., the 2 songs from Hardcore Unlawful Assembly compilation on an e.p. entitled Frustration and this live show from 1984, evidently a few weeks before recording The Final Agony e.p..

So, this was recorded at Candy Hall in Osaka on January 4th, 1984 and was a keepsake of Sin's (of Mobs, City Indian, Mohawks) that was recently unearthed in Taiki's (ex-singer of Freedom's ) occult shop. What's great about this live show, is that it has a dozen songs that weren't ever recorded!! The sound quality is good, not great, but it's the mighty ZOUO!

This is the very last thing Ildjarn put out before he called it a day. It's basically demos, unreleased and alternate versions. 90% of this is genius, but their are some fillers. This also came with a 16,000 word 'Final Statement', basically Ildjarn's manifesto. It is some serious reading. Anti-Human to say the least. It also makes a lot of sense. You can read it here. Also, an interview here. Half the reason for this post is the music, the other half is for his 'Final Statement', so if yer gonna download this, you MUST read the statement! Trust me! (and I would love to hear your thoughts & comments regarding his final statement.)

The music is what you'd expect, Ildjarn never, NEVER, falters. Raw, raw, bone raw, stripped down Black Metal. SOCIALCRIME 'Demo'

96/97 demo by this killer Japanese crusty Hardcore band. They did an e.p. after this and a full length in 2000-2001, here. The thing is I know next to nothing about these ragers. I know they appear on Crust War comps, I know their contemporaries are bands such as Battle of Disarm, Framtid, Gouka, Crocodile Skink, etc etc.

And I know this demo kills! Production wise it's top-notch! Their are a few live songs, but again, top notch production. Just killer Japanese Hardcore with a slight D-Beat look and crustpunk smell.

Pyhakoulu 's/t' mini-lp

Here's a band that didn't get the accolades it deserved. Finland's Pyhakoulu (Sunday School). This is their 1987 mini-LP after they did a split e.p. with Abortti 13. After these they did another e.p., the guitarist died and they released an abum after posthumously. Led by then Queen of the scene, Saku, Pyhakoulu initially was meant to be an all girl band, but they had troubles finding a female guitarist. The music is at the cusp of D-Beat and UK82, and D-Beat whens the fight. With Saku's vocal delivery, Pyhakoulu is a perfect template of 1987 Finnish Hardcore. This isn't to be missed!!

GRAFVOLLUTH 'Long Live Death!'

Kith and Kin of mine, dear friends, new and old (and half the band I don't even know!). Grafvolluth is a NYC Black Metal band that has graciously said yes after I basically begged & pleaded to put this LP up here on NBSF. This is some intense Black Metal here and I can't think of any other band to compare it to (Hate Forest is a stretch I suppose). Black Metal usually is despondent (which this is), hateful (which this is) and never offers the future any hope. This LP does though, to me at least. It offers hope and assurance (again, to me). It's just my hopes aren't the same as most peoples.

I can't say enough good things about this album. Really. I'm biased and I'm not. Honesty trumps friendship in these matters.

My pal's Erik & Matt also have a noise band (Kama Rupa) and you can see how Kama Rupa might've rubbed off in the making of this fantastic LP. In fact, I bet I could name all the songs they actually wrote on here, but that's moot.

So, again I find myself at a lack for words, so....I am gonna go drink some Drain-O now & let the music do the talking for me. Brilliant!

Skizophrenia is part of a punk collective known as The Action (with Folkeiis, Intruders, REJECT {and a few newer ones as well})that is trying to keep the flame alive with unity, shows and comps (here and here). The bands in this little 'collective' are all some of the best Japanese bands around right now.

Drop Dead '1989 Demo'

First off, this is not the Drop Dead from Providence that plays brilliant Fastcore. This is the late 80's Drop Dead from Indianapolis that played Thrash. When I was a teenager in 87, 88, 89 I used to see these guys play alot. Not that I went to see them specifically, it's just they played with Hardcore bands and back then we weren't too picky on shows. If there was a show, we went, end of.

Anyway, Drop Dead. This is their 2nd demo, their first was from 1988. I like this better. The cover screams 1989! The music is par for the time and (more importantly) the place. Brilliant at times (cause like any good thrash band, ya steal from Metallica), pedestrian at others. Kinda like a really poor-man's Destruction.

And one last thing about Drop Dead. They were a christian band. Though you wouldn't know it by the music, lyrics yes, but music no. So, here's my question- Do people get upset if blogs put up Christian bands the same way they (understandably) get upset if blogs put up NSBM? I feel they should. Christianity has killed more people than any regime ever has. More jews than any regime as well. Nazism and Christianity are equally fucked up if ya ask me, so, does this mean your upset with me?? Hmmmm? Food for thought.

GREY 'Sisters of The Wyrd'

Seattle three piece GREY. All female Doom. Formerly known as Baba Yaga who did a two song demo of crusty Doom. On this LP, GREY redid one of the two Baba Yaga songs, made it more gloomy, more slow, and more ominous. Their is also cover a 13 (another female heavy Doom band) song. I'm not a huge Doom fan, I like some, and this is one of em. Slow & Crushing, and done by three gothic-esque women. I couldn't ask for more,really.

Hubble Bubble 'S/T'

Hubble Bubble, from Brussels, Belgium, was a band started by Plastic Bertrand in between his solo stuff. If ya don't know Plastic Bertrand, he was a French Belgian (opposed to Flemish) who had the hit song in 1977 titled 'Ca Plane Pour Moi', you might think you don't know his song, but you do. It was the second ever French song to hit the Billboard Top 100 (at 39). The story of that song is this- many people suspected that it wasn't him actually singing on that track, and in 2010 (33 years later) he admitted it was the producer who sang on it as he was late to lay down the vocals. The song, or the music of the song rather, was then 'stolen' by Elton Motello and used for the classic and oft covered, Jet Boy Jet Girl.

Ok, now back to Hubble Bubble and the music of this post- It's apt for it's time, 1978. And coming from Brussels, one would figure that they would be behind London and NYC by at least a year, and one can hear that in the music. Similar I suppose to country mates The Kids or maybe Johnny Thunders (that's a bit of a stretch though) or The Vapors or Johnny Moped, stuff like that. Snotty mid 70's punk. But with more bounce. It is a band by the colorful Plastic Bertrand afterall.

This is my favorite crust band right now. 'Tokyo's Evil Metal Crust From Hell'. This is total fuckin AntiSect worship and they fuckin nail it (the New Dark Ages-era AntiSect). Listen to the 3rd song, holy fuckin shit! Chugga-Chugga-Wail, Chugga-Chugga-smell ya later!! Really, this shit is fuckin sinister! The specter of AntiSect (opposed to SDS being the Ghost of AntiSect). Really, ya'all, these 5 songs gets a 10 out a 10!! I can't recommend it enough!!! This even beats out AxeWield for crustiest act in Japan right now!!! I can smell the stench some 7000 miles away!

New band ((prmtv-ccmltn)) or Primitive Accumulation and their first recording, the 2011 demo, Drive for Return to Inorganic Matter. These Halifax, Nova Scotian's recently sent me this cassette-only demo and it's a bruiser, bringing to mind early Man Is The Bastard who then gets in a fistfight with Despise You, but for 2011. It's definitely of the Power Violence ilk. It has an uncomfortableness to it, that works, and I think makes one think a little more or a little harder on their message/what their about/what their trying to say & do. Band member James lists influences as 90's PowerViolence and Fastcore, Raw Black Metal, Japanese Noise Punk, fusion-era Miles Davis, Marxism, Zen, Weed and the Atari 2600 (and when listening to the demo, ya can hear said influences). The band members have played in or still play in bands such as Contagium, Criminal Intent, MeanMug, White's Fisheries, Blight (Truro, NS), L/P (Truro, NS).

CONTREPOISON 'The Thunders Which Collide'

I have been waiting hand & foot for this. Easily one of the three best bands of 2011. Their songs on the Hospital Records 2xcassette comp 'Around The Dragons Broken Neck...' are so fuckin amazing and the song on the split cassette with Vatican Shadow is just as compelling. The Thunders Which Collide is a three song mini-cassette about a journey through the storms of love and they are as dark as said storms tend to get. The second song is my favorite here, solely cause the vocals (which are morosely captivating) stand out. Really, this band couldn't rate higher with me. It's one of the fella's from Akitsa doing DarkwaveGoth and he reinvents the genre. This is Contrepoison's year for sure, I just hope 2012 is equally as powerful & spellbinding for them as 2011 was. Genius.

Vanyar/Raggradarh 'Split'

Killer Black Metal split.

Vanyar play epic, Tolkein inspired, Yorkshire-based Black Metal with members of White Medal, Axnaar, SUMP, Mutant Ape, & Gammel Sed. I posted their first LP a while back. Vanyar was the sole reason I got this.

Raggradarh was a surprise though. It's a one-man entity from Bulgaria who has quite the extensive catalog who plays his brand of Pagan Black Metal. Their is only one Raggradarh song on here, though it colcks in at 21 minutes, though it's really just a 5 minute song, meaning most 20 minute songs break down into different parts (a fast BM part, an acoustic part, a medieval part, etc etc) but this 21 min song stays the same throughout. And it works. Really. The riffs are sooo good, and the muffled & pained vocals compliment it so well. It's not barbaric, nor is it gothy. It's kinda reminds me of Shadowthrone-era Satyricon (just the chords n riffs). Anyway, it's a killer song that I keep listening to.

Overall, a damn good Black Metal pairing here, one that shouldn't be skipped.

David Koresh 'Voice Of Fire'

So, this is kind of in conjunction with last sundays post. Today we have David Koresh. Theirs 2 songs and a sermon on here. The 2 songs are acoustic with just a guitar and a voice. I love these two songs, If they were by someone else, I might feel different. The sermon is about an hour long, and I can see why people followed him. His voice is magnetic and mesmerizing. He knows how to talk. It gets a bit fire & brimstone towards the end, but it's basically about why they are real christians opposed to the false christians. Anyway, both songs and the sermon on here are a must listen in my eyes.

On a side note, in 92 or 93 their was an Anarchist gathering in Austin, Texas that me and a bunch of my friends went to. After that, me and two friends went to Dallas to hop freight trains to NYC, but to get there we had to hitchhike though Waco. It was during the siege that we hitched through there, luckily the FBI and ATF didn't stop us and immolate us!

Wanted to post something befitting for today, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the day we remember & thank the Native Americans for 'breaking bread' with the starving pilgrims. After that....game on. We slaughtered them. So, for today, I wanted to turn the tables and show the Indians wrath. What ya have is a number of different tribes & their ritual music and their ceremonial and war dances. The tribes are Navajo, Sioux, Apache, Papago, Taos and more. I know most of this music probably wasn't directed towards the genocidal early Americans, but then again....

In the end, this is very inspirational stuff. Passionate. Moving. Sad.

But....At the same time, I'm by no means P.C., I actually love this time of year and love the holiday season. So, cheers all.

Shoko Asahara 'Lord Death's Counting Song b/w Sonshi's March' 7"

Ya really can't get more outsider art and more left field than this. Shoko Asahara, the leader of Aum Shinrikyo, trying his hand at some music. If ya don't know Shoko Asahara or his religious cult Aum Shinrikyo, they were the ones responsible for the 1995 Tokyo Sarin gas attacks in the subways, the Matsumoto incident and the killing of the Sakamoto family, in all hundreds of people were killed and near 5000 hurt.

Aum Shinrikyo, as a religion was Yoga based with facets of Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity and the writings of Nostradamus. Shoko had even declared himself 'Christ'! He later penned an outline for the doomsday, culminating from World War III and named the United States (as we all know) 'The Beast'. Really, ya gotta read about this guy!!

The music is cheap casio-led songs in traditional Japanese. They are absolutely priceless.

Fuckin monster demo by these Japanese crust punks. I believe this came out within the past ten years, but that's about it. I don't believe they recorded anything else, but could be wrong. It's supposed to be a female singer, but if so, than it is one badass burly female singer. The music is noisey and punk as nails, leaning on a crusty crutch and strays onto the D-Beat/DisCore path at times, but definitely can stand on it's own as just itchy-n-scratchy fuckin Hardcore Punk. I hope I can find more NARRATE and hope they record more. UNO fuckin rips it up! This demo rules!!

The vocals on track one don't sound that great, but kick in starting on track two.

BloodHammer/Ride For Revenge 'Chords Of The Left Hand' split

Great 2010 split by these two Finnish bands. BloodHammer kicks it off with 6 songs of early 90's sounding BlackMetal that stciks to the original blueprints, the guitars even bring to mind Shadowthrone-era Satyricon. It's Ride For Revenge that's the stand out here. On this split, they have evolved a bit, or rather de-evolved into something more primal. The songs are shorter and the music has gotten more occultish and way more vile. They've unleashed their inner-grotesqueness. It's as if Reek-era Carcass & Cock-N-Ball Torture spawned a devil thing, it would be this ugly, louse ridden, disgraceful piece of Black Metal muck. They've almost birthed a Black Metal Power Electronics Grind, but they keep the PE & Grind at bay, making this Black Metal of a new strange breed. GRAVELAND 'Immortal Pride'

Polish berserkers Graveland with their 4th studio LP & first of their Viking Metal LPs. This is very much influenced by Bathory and by Bathory's Hammerheart specifically. I think this is Graveland's defining moment as a band, it best sums up who and what they are as a whole. Sure, they've had monumental LPs before & after, but this is at their zenith. These four songs from 1998 are the definition of epic. They're majestic without getting corny. They're a battlefield of blood-stained warriors fighting with all they got for what they desperately believe in. It's a longship on the shores of a distant land and the exaltations and cheers around a bonfire and the clinkin n clangin of horns of mead crashing together. This is Viking Metal. Hello folks, I got a real treat for ya today. New band R.O.T.T.E.R. and their Wisdom demo. R.O.T.T.E.R. is a bi-coastal band, as the strings & drums are based in Brooklyn, the vokills are outta SF. But they make it work. They basically started as 2/3 of them are new parents and were looking for a way to blow off steam, if thats the case, them must be some screaming babies cause this shit don't let up. This month, November, they'll be recording one of 2 7"s (hopefully more will come after that).

Man, I love this LP. Toxic Reasons, or Toxics as we use to call them, 1982 LP, Independence. 12 songs of midwestern hardcore perfection. One of those bands that I saw on a regular basis as a young squirt. From Noise Boys to War Hero to Riot Squad, this LP covers alot of punk rock ground, from (an incestuous) Zero Boys sound to a more Hardcore number to a more UK82 vibe. Just a fantastic LP from start to finish.

ROSENKOPF 'Dispiritualized' Cassette

Rosenkopf's last output, the 2010 cassette only release, Dispiritualized. This round Rosenkopf mature into the sound that their s/t cassette peripherally hinted at(having a full line-up doesn't hurt). Their music is pretty hard to pin down, and therefore perfect for LFS. I do know that this tape is amazing and the song Burning Spirits is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. That song, just like the rest of the songs on here, provokes so many emotions. It screams ambition. It whispers inertia. The middle ground is absolutely stirring and moving. Members of Detestation, Dawn Of Humans & more.

Hexenwood 'Witchthrone' Demo

Hungarian horde, and I do mean horde, Hexenwood and their 2004 demo Witchthrone. This is twisted Black Metal art taken to the next level. Ya see, Hexenwood is a family. Ma, Pa & Junior Hexenwood (along with Uncle Hexenwood {the 'cool' uncle}). On this Junior is just a babe and he is apart of their art, he does 'sing' on here, and I have to say, I like it. It def has a 'pagan' feel to it, both in character & music, even utilizing some native Hungarian instruments. Some might call this novelty, I call it high art.

I've found so many great Black Metal bands on Cosmic Hearse, & this being one, I just wanna shout out a thanks. Though he didn't care much for them, I find Hexenwood, this demo at least, fuckin killer.

CERVIX is one smooth criminal. One born into the life of villainy & lawbreaking. At first, a juvenile delinquent with an eye for misdeed (ala their 2010 demo). They grow, mature into a more felonious entity, wreckless & debaucherous without a care in the world (ala their 2010 Winter demo). Then through trial & error, through the pains & shackles, they learn the ways & secrets of a life of crime. This e.p. is like the hoodlum who makes ya feel all warm and good, while their robbing ya blind. They are just as rogue as ever, but with a wry smile on their faces, with one hand out to great ya and a dagger behind their backs.

Or I coulda just said that they went to a good studio.

Classic Black Metal comp with all Norwegian bands (and a few Swedes) paying their respects to their fallen comrade. This is from 1995, but do believe it took a few years to put all together and was originally on Necropolis Records, which is no more, sadly. The stand outs on here are the Emperor tracks, which are songs from their demo, recorded much better. Also, the Mysticum and Marduk (yes, believe it or not) are also stellar. Every song on here is amazing actually. If there ever was an 'essential' and/or 'classic' Black Metal comp it would be this.

Also, the file was big, so I separated it into two. So, when ya download this, don't be lazy and just D/L part 1 or 2, D/L them both as it's meant to be played as a whole.
